What do you get when a group of close friends use a game or games as a way of staying together over years? You could get the Jason Bateman comedy Game Night. Or you can get what I saw tonight, Tag.
Its what I said above, include more Three Stooges head and body trauma with a “we’re the best friends we’ve ever had” motive wrapped around it.
Everyone is funny. There are whole scenes are individually are hilarious, but overall as a movie it doesnt fit a proper narrative. And overall, these guys go to enormous lengths just to not be “it”.
As seen in the trailer, everyone is #Judo thrown into a wall and has some horrific physical injuries that every ones able to get up and walk away from.
I think this could have been 15 mins shorter and not gone as hard as it tried to go with Jeremy Renners fake out and while we’re at it, lets just leave out that group photo where no one looks like Hannibal Burress.
You’ll laugh, but I can recommend this higher than a Netflix viewing.
Two out of Six blueberries.
