Lindemans Peche Lambic - Review by: @Robyn_Seto

Lindemans Peche Lambic - Review by: @Robyn_Seto

It’s officially the holiday season, and I know I’ve been anxious to review dark beers but this week I decided to begin December with something completely different. Keeping the holidays in mind and the potential gathering that accompany them, I know not everyone enjoys a strong, dark craft beer and I know that some of the beers I review can be difficult to find in certain areas. This week I chose a classic beer that is more easily acquirable: Lindemans Peche Lambic.

Lindemans has been brewing lambic beers in Belgium since 1822. The lambic style is unique to Belgium as these beers are fermented by wild yeasts and bacteria native to the Zenne valley in Brussels. The Peche Lambic is brewed with the addition of peach juice, and others may include raspberry, black currant, or cherry. These are very low ABV at only 2.5% and really don’t have any alcohol flavor.

This is a very fruity and peach-y beer. It’s very sweet, almost like a mild apple cider but with peach flavors. Very easy to drink, yet it has a medium body. It’s a little on the candy sweet side, and will definitely make your lips sticky between sips. This is a pretty simple beer; what you see is what you get. Nothing incredibly fancy, but still a touch classier than Martinelli’s sparkling cider.

This beer and the other variants are pretty easy to find out in the wild. They are sure to be a crowd pleaser, even for those who aren’t usually inclined to drink beer. Or if you aren’t gathering for the holidays, you could still party on your own with a four-pack of lambics and not get sloshed.

4 /5 Burps
