Avengers: Infinity War - Review by @Kush_Hayes
For a movie that is two and a half hours long, this is a short movie. I was on the edge of my seat most of the time. I am happy to say I enjoyed this movie. Marvel Comics 19 Avengers 3 Infinity War 1 takes you for a roller coaster. We not only travel the world, but through space and time. For the last 18 movies, all the elements and all the characters that inhabit those elements finally come together and yet, our vast roster of heroes are still split up and while not aware of most of the others actions, everyone has one common goal: Protect life not just on Earth but in existence everywhere.
This movie is full of all the tropes you come to expect and enjoy from Marvel movies. We get great action, great characters, fun comedy, amazing backgrounds and locations, and then things get dark to the point where Intense and gritty are done better than what we have come to dislike and make fun of from WBs DCEU movies. People in our theater were sniffling and crying when consequences of the actions we’ve witnessed tonight were unveiled.
This movies best features are its theme of balance, relationships and sacrifice which come up several times and you feel its intensity.
As teased above, although all the Marvel movies are tied together, this particular Avengers movie is a two parter. But, first we have to get through an Ant-Man sequel in July and the debut of Captain Marvel in March 2019.
I wish more of my favorite characters crossed paths, but everyone belonged where they were. Everyone played a balanced part. You’re excited to see your favorite character arrive on screen. You are compelled to hear our villains reasoning for wanting to end the existence of half of all life. You enjoy the action. You fear Thanos everytime he comes onto screen. You mourn loss. While not a perfect movie, it’s pretty damn great and I look forward to seeing it again and adding it to my collection when it’s available on home media.
5 out of 6 blueberries.
