Action Point: Review by @Kush_Hayes

I think the 2018 70s Romp Comedy Action Point was a different movie when it was first conceived, compared to what shit I just saw.

Truth be told I always thought the 70s/80s Summer Camp Sex Romps were kind of creepy and have no fond memories of what this was trying to be.

Now there  is very little sex in this comedy that Johnny Knoxville is trying to homage. But its full of nonsense the entire way through. Our main character introduces us to his support staff who get just more screen time than then Mascot who gets laid at the end.

Our main character is a careless thoughtless irresponsible person, but because he loves his daughter (and his granddaughter who he is ultimately telling this story too) the movie insists hes a lovable loser. However he learns nothing except that he needs to be in his daughters life more.

I feel like the granddaughter throughline of this story was forced in after some kind of committee decision because Bad Grandpa was a thing.

I dont feel like spending time dissecting all the problems in this movie and Ill skip Chris Pontius pointless comedy relief and laughless stunt after laughless stunt that my audience no sold.

That might be the movies biggest crime is that everyone there understood we are watching a movie for the cheap head trauma and “ow my balls” moments.

Maybe that's a good thing after all.

Johnny Knoxville is a funny guy and its amazing what Jackie Chan level of stunts he’ll still perform at his age, but this movie doesnt deliver on any of his comic timing or his charisma.

I obviously wasnt expecting Billy Shakespeare but this was shit.

1 out of 6 blueberries.
